About the Role
We're looking for a reliable Groundsperson to join the team at Alice Springs Airport, carrying out day-to-day maintenance of airport grounds and infrastructure to support safe airport operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Mowing lawns, pruning trees and maintaining a clean, hazard-free runway
- Operating equipment including mowers, backhoes and bobcats
- General repairs and upkeep of airport facilities, including airside furniture and line marking
- Escorting contractors airside and inspecting/reporting on airport conditions
- Supporting the Aerodrome Reporting Officer during emergencies and busy periods once trained
Essential Requirements
- Experience with grounds maintenance equipment
- NT driver's licence (or ability to obtain), forklift and airside driver's licence eligibility
- First aid certification and eligibility for an aviation security check and police check
- Subject to NTAPL drug and alcohol management plan and ongoing testing
