About the Role
Airservices is seeking a motivated, qualified and experienced Electrical Technical Officer to join the team and help maintain and support critical Air Traffic Control and Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting systems. Based at Melbourne Airport, this role will involve some travel throughout Australia and offers an attractive salary, flexibility and excellent employee benefits.
The Role & The Team
You will be part of a high-performing team responsible for carrying out maintenance and support activities on critical aviation infrastructure, ensuring the operational safety and integrity of Australia's national airways system.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with prescribed processes, procedures and standards
- Maintaining an awareness and understanding of the impact that work undertaken can have on Airservices systems
- Supporting the operational safety and integrity of critical aviation systems and associated infrastructure
- Maintaining effective working relationships with Airservices staff to ensure coordinated service delivery outcomes
- Providing timely and accurate data entry into maintenance management systems
- Supporting the coaching and development of team members within the workgroup
- Participating in enterprise governance activities including safety, environmental, work health and safety, risk and compliance requirements
- Promoting workplace safety and contributing to a safe working environment at all times
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery and work practices
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience undertaking maintenance, fault finding and installation activities on electrical systems and infrastructure
- Experience working with power systems, UPS systems, generators, air conditioning systems, DC power systems or similar critical infrastructure
- A demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, organise and perform activities with limited guidance to achieve effective outcomes
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant policies, procedures, technical standards and legislation
- A strong commitment to safety, teamwork and customer service excellence
- Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence (mandatory)
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
- Current CPR/LVR certification
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Construction Industry White Card
Desirable
Restricted Electrical Licence and ACMA Data Cabling Licence.
Security Clearance
To be eligible to apply, you must be an Australian citizen as an Australian AGSVA security clearance is required for this role. This role performs Safety Sensitive Aviation Activities and is subject to Airservices' Drug and Alcohol Management Procedure (DAMP).
