About the Role
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will conduct maintenance activities under the supervision of a Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME), ensuring regulatory and airworthiness requirements are fully met as part of Virgin Australia's Aircraft Maintenance Organisation. This role operates on permanent night shift, based in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritise safety in managing all activities
- Perform operational duties per company exposition and procedures
- Carry out assigned tasks to recognised trade practices and industry standards
- Notify the LAME of any significant defects found during maintenance
- Maintain compliance with tooling control procedures
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Aircraft Line Maintenance and Heavy Maintenance
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills, mechanical stream (B1), or equivalent
- Understanding of aircraft flight operations, flight safety and airworthiness
