Aeropower Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) – Rotor Wing to join our aerospace engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Jandakot, Western Australia. As an AME specialising in rotor wing aircraft, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability and airworthiness of our helicopter fleet. Your expertise will be fundamental to maintaining the highest standards of maintenance and contributing to the operational success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on rotor-wing aircraft in accordance with approved maintenance programmes and regulatory requirements

  2. Conducting pre-flight, post-flight and line maintenance inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness

  3. Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems on helicopters

  4. Performing component repairs, overhauls and replacements following manufacturer specifications and maintenance manuals

  5. Documenting all maintenance activities accurately in maintenance logs and records to ensure full traceability and compliance

  6. Collaborating with flight crews and other maintenance personnel to resolve technical issues and share operational feedback

  7. Ensuring compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations and internal maintenance standards

  8. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and safety procedures

  9. Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

  1. AME Progressing toward CASA Part 66 license.

  2. Minimum of 1-2 years' hands-on experience in rotor-wing aircraft maintenance

  3. Basic understanding of helicopter systems, including mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components

  4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting aircraft maintenance manuals, technical drawings and specifications

  5. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and rectify technical faults efficiently

  6. Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment, and follow instructions under the supervision of LAMEs

  8. Knowledge of CASA regulations and aviation safety standards

  9. Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with flight crew and other technical personnel

  10. Reliability and a proactive approach to continuous professional development

  11. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
