About the Role
WINKEL Aviation Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and motivated people to join the growing team helping connect Central Queensland with Australia every day. Currently recruiting for Customer Service / Check-in Agents and Baggage Handling & Ramp Operations Agents (Casual/Part Time opportunities available).
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service / Check-in Agent
- Passenger check-in and boarding
- Delivering exceptional customer service
- Assisting passengers with special requirements
- Processing baggage and travel documentation
- Coordinating aircraft arrivals and departures
- General airline administration
Baggage Handling & Ramp Operations
- Loading and unloading aircraft baggage and freight
- Marshalling aircraft onto parking bays
- Operating Ground Support Equipment (GSE), including aircraft stairs, aircraft tugs and passenger assistance devices
- Freight shed operations
- Cabin cleaning for terminating aircraft
- Assisting with safe and efficient aircraft turnarounds
Essential Requirements
- A current Australian Driver Licence
- Eligibility to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening
- Availability to travel for initial training (if required)
- Flexibility to work a rotating seven-day roster, including weekends, split shifts and public holidays where required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Desirable
- Ramp Operations: the physical ability to repetitively lift up to 32kg and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Customer Service: Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification
