About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Ground School Manager to join our team at our Jandakot facility on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal administrative role that will manage and coordinate our ground school programs, ensuring the smooth operation of all ground school activities, managing training schedules and coordinating ground instructors and students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate ground training programs for students, ensuring quality, consistency and optimal use of facilities and resources
  • Liaise between instructors, students and other departments to ensure effective communication and program delivery
  • Develop, update and maintain training materials and courses in line with aviation regulations and standards
  • Supervise and support ground instructors, ensuring effective teaching and adherence to curriculum
  • Monitor and assess students' progress throughout their ground training, providing feedback and support
  • Organise and manage training schedules, ensuring timely delivery of courses
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes to improve training quality
  • Act as a link between students, instructors, regulatory bodies and college administration

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role, ideally within an aviation, education or training environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, and scheduling/database management software
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a Registered Training Organisation or education environment
  • Flight Instructor experience
