The Opportunity

Based at the Brisbane hangar, you'll lead the Mechanical Systems & Cabin team, providing technical leadership to ensure the continuing airworthiness, configuration control and reliability of the fleet. This strategic leadership role focuses on driving innovation, continuous improvement and smarter ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee airworthiness assessments, engineering investigations and aircraft modification configuration control
Ensure compliance with CASA regulations and Virgin Australia's engineering standards
Develop and lead a high-performing team, building capability and fostering innovation

Essential Requirements

AME Licence (B1, B2 or C), Certificate IV in Aircraft Maintenance, or Diploma/higher in Aviation Maintenance Management or related engineering discipline
At least 5 years' relevant aviation engineering experience, including 2 years in a Technical Services or Engineering leadership role
Strong knowledge of continuing airworthiness requirements, maintenance programs and CASA regulations
Demonstrated leadership experience coaching and developing technical teams
