About the Role
Virgin Australia's airport and workplace facilities (hangars, offices, airports and training centres) are largely third-party owned properties, usually at airports. Working as part of a small team, the Leasing Specialist is responsible for planning and delivering commercial strategies relating to Virgin's property leases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and negotiate real estate portfolio leasing strategies on behalf of Virgin Australia
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver optimal commercial property results
- Independently drive and manage commercial real estate leasing outcomes
- Negotiate with landlords and ensure understanding of property law and compliance
Essential Requirements
- High level of influencing and negotiation skills, with strong stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience in contract/lease administration
- Ability to read, interpret and draft lease agreements and understand relevant legislation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong financial, analytical and strategic problem-solving skills
- Tertiary qualification in Law, Business or Property
Desirable
- Understanding of the Australian aviation industry and airport leasing processes
- Experience managing a commercial lease portfolio
- Prior experience in a paralegal role
