About the Role
As Fleet Airworthiness Team Leader at Virgin Australia, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the continued airworthiness, safety, and compliance of the VARA fleet. You'll lead Airworthiness Officers and drive ongoing development and optimisation of the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Airworthiness Officers
- Ensure the AMP remains compliant with CASA regulations and aligned with OEM/engineering updates
- Review and implement maintenance program changes (ADs, SBs, MPD revisions) in the CAMO MIS
- Plan, coordinate and oversee Airworthiness Reviews across the fleet
- Support aircraft inductions including AMP development and bridging requirements
- Manage aircraft and component configuration control
- Drive continuous improvement in maintenance planning, reliability, and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Strong leadership experience with ability to coach and develop technical teams
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs, airworthiness, and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to apply for MPAE and/or ARE
- Proven experience working within a CAMO or similar environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
