The Opportunity
Join the VARA Commercial team in Perth to support the financial and commercial performance of the charter business, reporting to the Leader Charter Pricing and Analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate client invoicing across VARA charter clients and VAA RPT block clients, plus month-end accruals and reconciliations
- Build and maintain financial and commercial models for pricing, forecasting, scenario analysis and profitability assessments
- Analyse revenue, cost, margin and operational drivers to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Support pricing decisions and evaluation of new and existing charter opportunities
- Transform complex data into clear insights and recommendations for decision makers
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, SQL and Python
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, business, data analytics or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience in financial reporting, month-end close, accruals and reconciliations
- Strong commercial modelling experience, particularly in Excel
- Advanced Excel and Power Query capability
