About the Role
Unisys is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Airport Support Technician / Field Engineer to provide on-site technical and operational support for key airport equipment and customer-facing technologies. The Field Engineer performs activities associated with installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and servicing computer-related products, including desktop/laptop computers, printers, kiosk systems, bag-drop technology and other automated airport service devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of airport equipment
- Support kiosk systems, bag-drop technology and similar automated service devices (Amadeus, SITA, CUTE, kiosks, etc.)
- Meet SLA requirements and ensure client satisfaction in all interactions
- Perform fault investigation, triaging, and resolution in a Deskside support environment
- Work in rotational shifts if needed
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a fast-paced or public-facing environment
- Experience in technical support, mechanical maintenance, or troubleshooting of equipment
- Ability to successfully complete a Police Check and AusCheck requirements needed to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
- A valid driver's licence
Desirable
- Prior airport experience or experience with customer-facing roles/duties
- Prior experience supporting mechanical maintenance, airport equipment, kiosks or bag-drop systems
