Defence and fuel industry experience may be advantageous, however UGL's training and development programs enable entry into the industry. Training will include the opportunity to attend specialised interstate facilities at various times throughout your career, combined with both onsite and offsite training locally.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Support the Defence Fuel Network across Australia, ensuring operational excellence and reliability
- Carry out before-use inspections of refuelling vehicles, equipment and documentation to ensure operational readiness
- Conduct daily fuel quality checks in line with safe work procedures (SWPs) to ensure fuel is free from water and contaminants
- Safely approach and refuel Australian and international military aircraft, establishing exclusion zones, bonding equipment and observing all aviation safety requirements
- Complete all post-refuelling documentation including meter readings and customer sign-off
- Report hazards or incidents promptly
What You Need
- Safety as the forefront of everything you do
- Valid HC Driver's Licence and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence (essential)
- Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry highly regarded
- Good communicator with ability to work in a diverse team
- Current holder or ability to obtain relevant security clearances
- Self-starting and team player capabilities
