About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the frontline team ensuring the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations. Your role involves handling critical tasks such as bagroom operations, loading and unloading, operating specialised equipment, and ensuring the precise receipting and dispatching of aircraft.

Your Duties

  • Perform bagroom functions, including scanning and manual handling of luggage
  • Load and unload baggage and freight efficiently
  • Manage aircraft receipt and dispatch procedures
  • Execute aircraft pushback operations safely
  • Provide essential water and waste services
  • Operate ground service equipment on the ramp

Key Selection Criteria

  • Safety Awareness: Proactive approach to safety with thorough understanding of safety procedures

  • Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
  • Punctuality and Reliability: Demonstrated commitment to fulfilling shift responsibilities
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic airport environment

Essentials

  • High proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Valid driver's licence (including provisional)
  • Ability to pass drug, alcohol and audio tests (cost reimbursed after 6 months)
  • Capability of obtaining an ASIC card (cost reimbursed after 6 months)
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
  • Capacity to undertake shifts of 4–10 hours per day, spanning 04:00–02:00
  • Commitment to a minimum of 40+ hours per fortnight
  • Available for a 1-week full-time paid training
