About the Role
Commercial Helicopters is seeking a motivated and hands-on Ground Support Crew Member to join our team based in Mudgee, NSW. This is not your typical 9-to-5 role. Working alongside experienced pilots, engineers and operational staff, you will play a critical role in supporting a wide range of helicopter operations across Australia — from firefighting and aerial agriculture through to mining support, environmental programs and remote area operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Aircraft refuelling, loading and operational support
- Driving and operating company vehicles and equipment
- Supporting aerial agriculture operations including chemical mixing, loading and field logistics
- Assisting with aerial operations including baiting, incendiary and survey programs
- Logistics coordination and field support
- Equipment maintenance and preparation
- General hangar, workshop and operational duties
- Supporting the company's strong safety and environmental culture
About You
Essential
- Current HR (Heavy Rigid) Driver's Licence
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home for extended periods in remote and regional locations
- Commitment to safety, professionalism and attention to detail
- Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to assist wherever required
Highly Regarded but Not Essential
- Dangerous Goods by Road Licence
- Forklift Licence
- ChemCert Accreditation
- Mechanical, agricultural or aviation experience
- Experience operating heavy vehicles, machinery or equipment
- Experience supporting aerial agriculture or remote area operations
