About the Role
Boeing Defence Australia is actively seeking a System Administrator to join the C-17A Globemaster III sustainment services team at RAAF Base Amberley, taking ownership of critical system administration functions that ensure secure and reliable access to C-17A ICT systems supporting Australia's strategic airlift capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and administer system access, and maintain system records
- Monitor system events and coordinate with software vendors for updates and licence management
- Perform software maintenance, resolve system failures, and maintain interfaces between C-17A ICT systems and CIOG networks
- Manage software retirement activities
- Support the Air Mobility Group – Cyber team in achieving and maintaining cyberworthiness and security accreditation for new and existing C-17A ICT support systems
Essential Requirements
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (Cisco, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of cyber security frameworks
- Ability to hold and maintain appropriate Defence security requirements (NV1)
- Australian Citizenship, to meet Defence security requirements
