About the Role
We are looking for a B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at our newest Essendon hangar who will identify and correct malfunctioning jet, turboprop and reciprocating multi-engine aircraft mechanical components and systems, and perform annual and progressive inspections as well as modification work on customer aircraft.
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of diagnostic and mechanical duties on jet and/or turboprop aircraft, including diagnosis of malfunctions and disassembly, rework, repair, replacement and adjustment of various aircraft systems
- Check, correct or replace complex aircraft assemblies, landing gear systems, air conditioning, pressurisation and optional equipment installations
- Repair or replace engine components and accessory items such as fuel control units, fuel injection systems, oil and fuel pumps, starter/generators and hydraulic and vacuum pumps
- Perform annual and progressive inspections and modification work on aircraft systems and structures
- Produce clear, concise and accurate written reports in logs, inspection reports and parts documentation
- Conduct functional checks, engine test runs, instrument tests and alignment, and preventive maintenance
Education & Experience
- Must hold a CASA licence
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Outstanding customer service abilities
- Experience in business aviation; Citation/Hawker/Beechcraft certifications preferred
