About the Role
Aerosure is seeking a CASA B1.2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Work locations available: Alice Springs and Katherine, NT. Experience on light aircraft (Cessna, Baron, etc.) is required. Employment status: full time preferred, with short-term and long-term contract terms also available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections and repairs in accordance with CASA regulations and manufacturer specifications
- Certify the completion of maintenance and repairs, authorising the aircraft’s return to service
- Use technical expertise and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical, electrical and avionics faults
- Ensure all maintenance complies with CASA regulations, airworthiness directives (ADs), service bulletins (SBs) and company procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance performed, including logbooks, worksheets and digital systems
- Work closely with other engineers, technicians and operational staff
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Promote a culture of safety and provide guidance and mentorship to unlicensed personnel and apprentices
- Ensure proper use, calibration and maintenance of tools, equipment and ground support units
- Communicate with operators, pilots and management regarding technical findings and maintenance updates
