About Interair

Interair Pty Ltd is a well-established aviation company and CASA CAR 30 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) based at Ballarat Airport, Victoria. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 0800–1630, with salary negotiable based on experience.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated CASA B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to join our maintenance team. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will work in a dynamic maintenance environment supporting both company-owned and customer aircraft across a diverse range of piston, turboprop and corporate jet operations.

Company Fleet

  • 4 × Cessna 172
  • 1 × Cessna 182
  • 3 × Piper PA-31 Navajo
  • 1 × Piper PA-44 Seminole
  • 1 × Beechcraft King Air 200

Customer Aircraft

  • General aviation piston-engine aircraft
  • Turboprop aircraft, including Pilatus PC-12 and Beechcraft King Air series
  • Corporate jets, including Cessna Citation series, Bombardier Challenger 604 and Bombardier Global Express

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with CASA regulations and manufacturer requirements
  • Exercise certification privileges in accordance with CASA licensing requirements
  • Conduct inspections, defect rectification, troubleshooting, repairs and modifications
  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed to the highest standards of safety and quality
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance personnel, flight operations, customers and management

Essential Requirements

  • CASA B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence
  • Strong knowledge of CASA regulations and maintenance practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a professional maintenance team
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • Current Australian working rights and driver’s licence
