We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People & Payroll Administrator to join our People team and support the delivery of high-quality HR and payroll services across the business.
Working closely with the Payroll Manager and People Business Partner, you will support the delivery of timely, compliant, and customer-focused people and payroll services. You will play an important role in creating a positive employee experience while contributing to the effective operation of the People function.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of People, this position provides administrative support across payroll, recruitment, and employee lifecycle processes. From assisting with recruitment activities, onboarding, employment documentation, and maintaining accurate employee records to supporting routine payroll administration, you will help ensure our people processes are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with company policies and legislative requirements.
What You Will Do — HR Administration
- Provide administrative and coordination support across the People function
- Assist in maintaining employee records, HR systems, personnel files, reporting data, filing systems, and shared drives, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with recordkeeping requirements
- Provide end-to-end recruitment administration support, and prepare employment contracts, letters, forms, and related documentation using approved templates
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including documentation, inductions, system access requests, and system updates
- Assist with employee lifecycle administration, including transfers, probation reviews, employment changes, and record maintenance
- Monitor the HR mailbox, responding to routine enquiries, providing general information on standard HR policies and procedures, and escalating matters where required
- Assist in maintaining organisational charts, employee directories, other people-related information, and support compliance activities, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Escalate complex employee relations, policy, performance, or employment matters to the appropriate People team member
What You Will Do — Payroll Support
- Provide administrative support for payroll activities in line with established procedures and controls
- Assist in collecting, verifying, and processing timesheets, leave requests, payroll variations, employee changes, new starter details, and payroll updates
- Support payroll data entry, validation, reconciliations, record maintenance, deductions, and employee payroll changes to help ensure accuracy and compliance
- Respond to routine payroll enquiries, assist with resolving discrepancies, and escalate matters where required
- Maintain accurate payroll records and confidentiality of employee information, and support payroll reporting, compliance, recordkeeping, and audit activities
Who We Are Looking For
- Minimum of one year's experience in Human Resources, recruitment, payroll, or HR administration roles
- Qualifications or current studies in HR, Business Administration, Payroll, or a related field (desirable)
- Strong capability in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, with demonstrated ability to effectively navigate and utilise HR, recruitment, and payroll platforms
- Excellent organisational, time management, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A customer-focused approach, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and develop, with the flexibility to perform ad hoc duties as required and within capability
Eligibility requirements: must have full working rights in Australia, and meet all airport security/vaccination requirements. Willingness to complete a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Screen and provide a current Police Clearance.
