About the Role

We are excited to announce a role opening at Gold Coast Airport! We are seeking a highly skilled, talented, enthusiastic and ambitious Head Chef to join our team.

As the Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for food service standards, kitchen operations, and overall culinary delivery within your venue. You will lead and inspire a dedicated kitchen team in a fast-paced airport environment, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times. You will be supported by an experienced leadership and culinary team during this exciting new venue launch.

Our venues include Wollumbin Bar & Restaurant, Paradox Bar & Restaurant, Merlo Coffee, The Sand Bar, Social Espresso, and Beach Shack.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of successful industry experience in a Head Chef or senior kitchen position.
• Proven ability managing COGS and labour to ensure profitability and success.
• Proven experience leading a team of 10+.
• Hands on and comfortable with high volumes.
• Proven experience in menu development, writing and costing menus.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on staff development and a harmonious relationship with FOH.
• Strong Excel experience.
• Must have a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Motivated and driven, with a big personality and a love of the hospo industry.
