About the Role
Quality Assurance Inspector at Base Maintenance Malaysia, Subang.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and unscheduled surveillance of aircraft undergoing base maintenance (e.g. C-checks, structural inspections, modifications).
- Monitor ongoing maintenance activities to ensure compliance with approved maintenance data and company procedures.
- Observe critical and safety-sensitive tasks to ensure proper execution.
- Verify that maintenance practices meet quality and airworthiness standards.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable aviation authority regulations (e.g., Part 145 requirements).
- Raise non-conformance reports (NCR) for observed deviations.
- Document surveillance findings clearly and objectively.
- Coordinate with Operations and relevant departments for corrective action.
- Follow up to verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Ensure aircraft airworthiness is not compromised during maintenance activities.
- Identify potential risks or unsafe practices and take appropriate action.
- Promote a strong quality and safety culture within the maintenance environment.
- Escalate significant quality or safety concerns to the Director, Quality.
