About the Opportunity
An established aviation training organisation is seeking an experienced Drone Instructor / RPAS Trainer to deliver CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) training and industry drone programs across Australia.
Based in Perth, this role involves delivering both classroom theory and practical flight training to a diverse range of students, including recreational pilots, enterprise clients, and government organisations.
You will play a key role in helping develop the next generation of professional drone pilots, while working in a rapidly expanding sector within aviation and emerging technology.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver CASA RePL theory and practical training
Conduct hands-on RPAS flight instruction and assessments
Train a variety of students, including individual pilots, enterprise teams and government clients
Review and update training materials and course content
Conduct commercial RPAS operations, including flight planning and aerial work
Ensure operations comply with CASA regulations and operational procedures
Maintain accurate training records and documentation
Provide a high level of student engagement and client support
Travel will be required across Western Australia and Australia-wide to deliver training programs.
Skills & Experience
Essential
CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) – Multi-Rotor up to 25kg
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
Minimum 20 hours logged RPAS operational experience under a ReOC (non-training)
Strong understanding of CASA RPAS regulations and aviation safety practices
Experience delivering training, instruction or technical presentations
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Willingness to travel across Australia
Desirable
Fixed Wing RePL
Aviation industry background
Experience delivering technical or aviation training
ELP Assessor approval
Experience working with government or enterprise clients
