We're seeking passionate Grade 2 and 3 Fixed Wing Flight Instructors to join our professional team, with immediate part-time and full-time positions available.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's most respected flying training organisations. As a Flight Instructor at RACWA, you'll play a key role in developing the next generation of pilots, while working in a fun, supportive and safety-focused club environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality flight training to student pilots

  • Conducting clear and effective briefs and debriefs

  • Promoting critical thinking and threat & error management

  • Monitoring, assessing and recording student progress

  • Maintaining adherence to all safety policies and training standards

  • Creating a positive and encouraging learning environment

  • Ensuring the safety of all flight operations

  • Being a part of a club environment and a 97 year old cherished institution

What we're looking for

  • A genuine passion for aviation and student development

  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills

  • Strong understanding of aviation regulations, safety protocols and training best practices

  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and safety

  • Ability to work within a team

  • Enjoy working with a wide range of students, from integrated full-time students to private part-time students.

Essential Qualifications

  • Grade 2 or 3 Instructor Rating Training Endorsement

  • Class 1 Medical

  • Unrestricted Working with Children Check

  • Dangerous Goods Certificate

Desirable Additions

  • Previous flight instructing experience

  • Night VFR Rating

  • Night VFR Rating Training Endorsement
