This role also supports Aviair, a multi-award-winning regional airline under local Kununurra ownership since 2016, with significant operations in Kununurra, Broome, Karratha and Adelaide, and in-house aircraft maintenance facilities across approximately thirty aircraft.
About the Role
Nexus Airlines is looking for an Engineering Coordinator based in Perth to support its Part 145 and Part 121 maintenance operations across Western Australia, providing engineering coordination support across both Aviair and Nexus Airlines and reporting to the Senior Base Engineer and Head of Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate short-term and long-term aircraft maintenance planning and scheduling activities
- Prepare maintenance work packages and ensure availability of required resources, tooling, materials and documentation
- Work closely with Maintenance, Operations and Procurement teams to minimise aircraft downtime and maximise fleet availability
- Ensure maintenance activities and planning processes comply with applicable regulatory and airworthiness requirements
- Support internal and external audits, maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Monitor maintenance forecasts with Maintenance Control, Engineering Staff and Stores Teams to support planning of inspections, repairs and modifications
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability and maintenance performance
- Prepare invoices, coordinate engineering meetings, and undertake general administrative support
Essential Requirements
- Experience in coordination, planning or administrative role within aviation, engineering, maintenance or a related industry
- Exceptional organisational, problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable
- Qualifications in aircraft maintenance planning, aeronautical engineering, or a related field
- Understanding of maintenance programs, airworthiness requirements and planning systems
- Proficiency in maintenance software, ERP systems and digital documentation platforms
