About the role:
Heli Surveys has a great opportunity as a Senior Base Engineer for a suitably qualified licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with extensive helicopter experience to run our Jindabyne base in the stunning Snowy Mountains of Australia.
Heli Surveys is a sister company to Nautilus Aviation and is responsible for maintaining its fleet of AS350, B407, B212, B412 helicopters operating a range of utility airwork across the country. As such, the role requires occasional travel and flexibility with a vehicle and expenses provided when working away from home base in Jindabyne. However the role is primarily located in JIndabyne. This flexibility works both ways, and staff who enjoy the outdoors (skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, etc.) are encouraged to take time off when possible, including during quieter periods/days (in addition to rostered time off). This is a unique opportunity for the right person.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aircraft and ensuring they are airworthy at all times, whilst working closely with the chief engineer and HAAMC who are located in Northern Queensland.

Valid Australian Driver’s license.
CASA recognised qualifications
Experience on AS350/H125
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy with experience on aircraft computer aided maintenance systems.
Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
The ability to work as a team player and alone.
Be a self starter
Commitment to a safe work environment.
Positive attitude.
Current ASIC and Human Factors qualifications (the company can assist with renewal’s and applications)
desirable:
AS350//H125, Bell 407, Bell 212/412, R44
Experience using Computer Maintenance and Management Systems – Aerotrack MRO(Aust) and Air Maestro will be an advantage.
