The Opportunity
Join our team at BDA’s Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services Capability as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer on the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) program at Swartz Barracks, Oakey, Queensland, to help keep these aircraft mission ready. As an AME, you’ll be hands-on with maintenance, modifications, servicing, inspections, testing and fault-finding on aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion
- Ensure compliance with the DASR Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) regulations
- Foster effective communication and coordination with Boeing, customers and industry teams
- Ensure Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures and meticulous documentation practices
- Embrace a positive attitude towards Environmental Health & Safety, prioritising the wellbeing of all personnel
What You Will Bring
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
- Australian citizenship to meet Defence security requirements
- Current driver’s licence
Desirable
- Previous experience working with military aircraft
- CASA or DASA Maintenance Licence
This role may require travel and periods working away from home.
