The Opportunity
ISR Cloud Systems Engineer (AWS) designing, maintaining and supporting secure cloud systems for Microflite's Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance operations, based at Moorabbin Airport.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure
- Manage AWS networking (VPCs, EC2, ALB, Route 53, ACM)
- Develop serverless/event-driven applications (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS)
- Build Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/CloudFormation
- Maintain CloudWatch monitoring, IAM security and backup/DR processes
- Support secure connectivity between AWS, aircraft systems and remote sites
Essential Requirements
- AWS certification (Solutions Architect, Developer or SysOps)
- Strong Python scripting and automation experience
- Linux administration and cloud networking/security experience
- Australian citizen able to obtain aviation/government security clearances
Desirable
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, DevSecOps, Essential Eight/ISM/IRAP frameworks
- Aviation, defence or emergency services experience
