About the Role
The Base Support Officer at Horn Island supports pilots with pre- and post-flight activities, manages hangar and crew facilities, coordinates aircraft refuelling, and oversees equipment and vehicle maintenance. Works a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Support flight operations with pre-flight and post-flight activities
- Order, manage and monitor fuel supplies in line with safety requirements
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, resources and stock levels
- Help maintain safe, clean and well-presented hangar and base facilities
- Provide administrative and logistical support, liaising with suppliers and contractors
Essential Requirements
- Experience supporting flight operations
- Strong organisational skills and a flexible, hands-on attitude
- Ability to work a 2 week on / 2 week off roster
