About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Airworthiness Engineer to join our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) team in Perth. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone wanting to build a long-term career in aviation airworthiness and maintenance planning.
You will support continuing airworthiness activities, maintain accurate technical records, assist with maintenance planning and compliance tasks, and work closely with experienced engineers and planners to help keep our fleet safe, compliant and operational.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support aircraft continuing airworthiness activities in line with regulatory requirements
- Assist with maintenance planning, including tracking scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Update and maintain aircraft records, airworthiness directives and service bulletins
- Assist with reliability reporting, defect tracking and day-to-day airworthiness administration
- Liaise with maintenance providers, suppliers and internal teams
- Support audits and compliance activities within the CAMO function
- Maintain accurate documentation and data across systems
Essential Requirements
- Completion of secondary education to Year 12 level or equivalent
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Current ASIC or ability to obtain one
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a methodical approach to work
Desirable
- A genuine interest in aviation engineering, airworthiness or maintenance planning
- Relevant tertiary qualification or current study in aviation, engineering or a related field
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a proactive attitude
- Experience using maintenance systems an advantage
