About the Role

AIR6500 is the RAAF's $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system, creating a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments. As a Senior V&V Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for delivering robust verification outcomes across complex, integrated systems within a modern, digitally enabled engineering environment, ensuring system performance, quality, and mission readiness by driving verification activities across the full engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and contribute to V&V artefacts including V&V Plans, VCRM, and Acceptance Test Plans
  • Plan and execute system-level verification activities across complex integrated environments
  • Maintain end-to-end traceability from requirements through to verification evidence
  • Support system integration and incremental verification for AIR6500 JABMS capability
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Test & Evaluation, Quality, and program stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of V&V frameworks, processes and tools
  • Develop a deep understanding of system architecture, operational capability, and mission requirements

Essential Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
  • Significant experience in V&V, Systems Engineering, Integration or Test & Evaluation
  • Strong experience developing and executing system-level verification strategies and plans
  • Experience working in complex, system-of-systems environments
  • Knowledge across Defence domains such as C2, Command Support or ISR
  • Experience with MBSE tools (e.g. DOORS, Rhapsody, ETM)
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Active NV1 security clearance and ability to handle Export Controlled material
