The Opportunity
As a Systems Engineer II, you'll lead the architecture, integration and verification of Hypersonix's hypersonic vehicle systems, turning mission objectives into practical solutions across multiple engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain requirements documents, traceability matrices (RTM) and verification cross-reference matrices (VCRM)
- Write clear, testable and unambiguous requirements and develop verification strategies
- Define system and subsystem architecture including avionics, propulsion interfaces, fuel systems and test infrastructure
- Develop interface control documents (ICDs) and perform hazard analysis on flight and ground systems
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on technical specifications and design reviews
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or related engineering discipline
- 5+ years in engineering roles, with at least 3 years in systems engineering or architecture on complex hardware projects
- Proven ability to define system architectures, decompose requirements and develop interface definitions
- Experience with hardware integration, test execution, troubleshooting and documentation
- Australian citizen/permanent resident or appropriate Australian work visa (Defence Trade Controls Act applies)
