About the Role

Flight One School of Engineering is expanding again. Our instructors are responsible for delivering high-quality aviation maintenance training and assessment in accordance with ASQA and CASA standards. Training is delivered to class sizes ranging from approximately 10 to 30 students, through a combination of face-to-face and remote delivery. Full-time positions are approximately Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, providing an attractive alternative for aircraft engineers looking to move away from shift work while remaining actively involved in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train the next generation of aircraft engineers
  • Assist existing aircraft engineers to upgrade their skills and qualifications
  • Deliver training and assessment in accordance with ASQA and CASA requirements
  • Design and implement high-quality training programs
  • Develop and deliver effective assessment strategies
  • Deliver both face-to-face and remote training to classes of approximately 10–30 students
  • Provide individual mentoring and support to students
  • Maintain accurate training and assessment records
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of training programs

Essential Requirements

  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to attain it
  • Previous experience working as an aircraft engineer
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Mechanical or Avionics, or a higher relevant qualification
  • Strong practical aviation maintenance knowledge and industry experience
  • Ability to design and implement quality training programs and assessment strategies across larger classes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check
