About the Role

Join dnata as a Training Specialist supporting our Learning & Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As the Training Specialist – Passenger Services, you are responsible for providing ongoing training support on an ad hoc and hybrid basis. Working closely with the National Training team and local Management and Service Delivery Supervisor team, this role ensures that training is facilitated and organised in line with business and client airline requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Train colleagues in an efficient and cost-effective way
  • Liaise with specialists and clients to ensure relevant training and administration resources are used and updated where required
  • Assist the training team to report on training compliance, expiries and recurrence requirements
  • Assist the training team to complete sign-off processes and ensure all applicable team members meet company standards
  • Provide feedback, mentoring and support to buddies and SMEs
  • Act as accountable person for completing paperwork and entering it into VETtrak
  • Assist with training document control and document review
  • Assist other ports with data entry as required
  • Assist the training department with any ad hoc duties

Essential Criteria

  • VETtrak experience essential
  • Currently, or willing to be, signed off on numerous Passenger Services functions including PAX Assist, Check-in and Delta/Gate Supervisor
  • High level of computer literacy and sound knowledge of training management systems
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills, and negotiation skills
  • Sound understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework and knowledge of all aspects of VET and RTO quality frameworks

Desirable

  • Previous experience in, or knowledge of, airline industry principles and procedures
