About the Role
dnata catering & retail is seeking a Storesperson to join its Darwin inflight catering team, managing warehouse orders and deliveries. Reporting to the Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for the timely and efficient acceptance of inbound goods and raw materials destined for use in the catering area, including fresh food, frozen or dry goods, alcohol and other beverages, as well as equipment and stationery items.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep an accurate record and receipts of all deliveries.
- Ensure all goods required by the catering team are available on time and in the required quantities.
- Ensure delivered items are packed to acceptable hygiene and other specifications.
- Ensure the availability of goods and rotation where necessary.
- Manage all stock in the stores effectively to ensure space is available for incoming goods as required.
- Maintain the company's policy in relation to HACCP, QSAI and WHS in accordance with Federal and State Government Regulations.
- Ensure all perishable items are colour coded and stamped with acceptance date.
- Anticipate potential problems and take appropriate actions to manage or mitigate.
- Manage relationships based on clear KPIs supported by an effective review mechanism that drives ongoing process and operational improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Previous or current Stores experience ideal.
- Must possess current Forklift / Work at Heights licences.
- Good knowledge of general Work Health and Safety.
- General knowledge of warehousing and storage procedures.
- Good Microsoft Office skills and excellent organisational skills.
- Availability to work 38 hours/week, as this role is Full Time.
- Ability to obtain a clear National Police Check.
