CareFlight is an Australian "for purpose" aeromedical organisation, operating across Australia with major bases in NSW and the NT, using helicopters, turbo prop aircraft, aeromedical jets and patient transport vehicles to support over 8,500 patients each year.
The Opportunity
CareFlight is seeking a Payroll Officer to join the Finance team on a fixed-term, part-time basis (0.7 FTE, with potential for full-time), reporting to the Payroll Manager and responsible for timely, accurate payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile manual timesheets, ensuring attendance, leave, allowances and overtime are accurately recorded
- Calculate and process employee entitlements including leave, allowances, penalties, back pays and superannuation
- Calculate, prepare and process termination payments
- Review payroll data for accuracy and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with payroll reconciliations, journals and audit reporting
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar payroll role
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
