About the Role
Brooks Airways is seeking an experienced Airport Ground Support Person on a casual basis. The role ensures a smooth operation of ground support services while maintaining a high standard of presentation of the Brooks fleet of aircraft, vehicles, and ground support equipment. The position communicates with flight operations, the Chief Pilot, medevac crews, and engineering to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ground support in dispatch and receipt of flights
- Prepare and secure aircraft; assist with passenger and freight handling
- Operate and drive aircraft ground service equipment
- Conduct bus transfers for crew, passengers, and freight
- Perform baggage and passenger check-in
- Prepare manifests, flight documentation, and freight manifests
- Manual handling of luggage between base and aircraft
- Assist passengers with special requirements
- Comply with OH&S policies, site security procedures, and Drug and Alcohol Management Plan
- Work flexible patterns to meet charter and medevac operational requirements
Essential Requirements
- Experience in aircraft ground support operations and aircraft towing
- ADA Category 2
- Current ASIC
- Current WA Driver's Licence
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Full working rights in Australia (sponsorship not available)
