About the Role
Menzies Aviation is seeking a Casual Ramp Operator for night shift operations at Melbourne Airport. You will perform a range of ground handling activities supporting the safe, efficient, and timely turnaround of aircraft, baggage, freight, and associated equipment.
Roster: Monday–Thursday, 2300–0400.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic serviceability and maintenance checks of vehicles and equipment, including refuelling activities
- Undertake hands-on operational duties across aircraft handling, baggage handling, freight, and cargo operations
- Operate approved ground handling and airport equipment including tow tugs, belt loaders, freight and cargo equipment, aircraft servicing equipment, transport vehicles, and water servicing equipment
- Perform aircraft loading and unloading in accordance with load plans, operational procedures, and airline requirements
- Adhere to all requirements in the Menzies Aviation Ground Operating Manual, SOPs, and airline SLAs
Essential Requirements
- Current and valid Victorian driver's licence
- Experience in airport ground handling, ramp operations, logistics, or a similar operational environment
- Ability to safely operate ground support equipment in a fast-paced setting
- Strong understanding of aircraft loading, baggage handling, and freight handling processes
- Commitment to safety, operational compliance, and quality standards
