The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an experienced Flight Scheduler to join the AH-64 Apache sustainment and support team, part of a foundational team bringing this latest Defence capability online.
Program Overview
The AH-64E Apache program provides advanced attack helicopter capability to the Australian Defence Force, enabling precision strike, armed reconnaissance and close air support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead establishment of robust processes, procedures and business cadence in the scheduling function
- Execute daily management and coordination of the flying program and course reporting at the School of Army Aviation
- Manage the training information system, including short and medium-term flying training plans and schedules
- Support coordination and re-scheduling for training event changes, including schedule risk assessments
- Assist with administration of the Patriot Excalibur (PEX) database system
- Work with minimal supervision as part of a dynamic operations cell
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a flying operations support and programming role
- Demonstrated experience employing the FlightPro software package
- Track record driving process and productivity improvement
- Exceptional communication skills
- Must be an Australian citizen to meet defence security requirements
Desirable
- Knowledge of PEX, Sentinel, PMKeyS and Objective planning/scheduling/reporting tools
- Experience working within a Defence environment
