About Boeing Aerostructures Australia (BAA)

BAA produces flight control surfaces for Boeing Commercial Airplanes (737, 777 and 787) and has over 1,000 employees working at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Port Melbourne. BAA is Australia's sole designer and manufacturer of structural composite components for Boeing's commercial airplanes, and has been operational since 1927 through its heritage entities. All of BAA's production is sent to the United States for final assembly. BAA's expertise encompasses design and analysis, materials and process technology, testing, structural bonding, resin infusion, non-destructive testing, fabrication, assembly, and painting.

About the Role

The BAA Supply Chain Team partners with and manages over 300 suppliers across direct and indirect supply chain, supporting all purchasing and logistics activities for the site including operations, facilities, HR and Engineering. This is not a traditional "office internship" — interns are exposed to the operational heartbeat of a global aerospace business, supporting real projects, real production challenges and real decisions that directly impact Boeing programs including the 737, 777 and 787 Dreamliner.

During your internship, you may gain exposure to

• Shadowing and supporting members across the Supply Chain team to gain exposure to daily operations and decision-making processes
• Assisting with supply chain coordination, reporting, and administrative tasks
• Participating in meetings and cross-functional discussions to build understanding of business operations
• Supporting a continuous improvement project reviewing and improving Kanban reorder points, including analysing inventory and replenishment data to identify trends and opportunities
• Learning and applying lean and continuous improvement principles within operational processes
• Preparing and presenting reporting and analysis of procurement data related to the project
• Researching the market and its impact on the supply chain

This is a maximum-term contract position commencing in February 2027 and concluding in mid-2027 before semester 2 commences, working Monday to Friday full-time onsite in Port Melbourne.

• Full, unrestricted working rights for Australia

Desirable

• Currently in the penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Business Studies, Engineering or Commerce
