The Role
Alliance Airlines is seeking an experienced Flight Operations Performance Engineer to join our Flight Operations Engineering Department in a highly specialised and influential role. Reporting to the Fleet Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring aircraft performance compliance across the fleet while providing expert analysis, technical guidance, and operational support to Flight Operations.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering, flight operations, regulatory compliance, and emerging technology — from developing aircraft performance data and manuals to conducting airport capability assessments and supporting strategic route evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and supporting aircraft performance activities across a transport category airline environment.
- Producing, reviewing and quality assuring aircraft performance data in accordance with CASA and CASR Part 121 requirements.
- Conducting aircraft performance, airport capability and payload/range analysis to support operational and commercial objectives.
- Monitoring AIS publications, aeronautical information and NOTAMs to assess operational impacts.
- Developing and maintaining aircraft performance manuals, procedures and controlled documentation.
- Administering and supporting Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) applications and associated operational systems.
- Delivering training in aircraft performance and weight and balance to flight crew and operational personnel.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Degree qualification in Engineering, preferably Aeronautical Engineering.
- Extensive experience within a Flight Operations Engineering Department supporting transport category airline operations.
- Strong understanding of CASA regulations and aviation operational requirements.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and technical reporting skills.
