Airways Aviation Australia operates Cessna C172, C182 and Piper PA44-180 aircraft. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Ground Theory Flight Instructor to join the team at our Australian Archerfield operations.
About the Role
This role is critical in preparing students for both examinations and real-world aviation environments through engaging, structured, and industry-aligned instruction.
You will play a key role in shaping future aviation professionals by delivering theoretical components across PPL and CPL training programs, ensuring compliance with CASA standards and organisational quality frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective ground theory instruction for flight training programs
Prepare and present lesson plans aligned to CASA syllabi and organisational requirements
Support students through theory examinations and learning challenges
Maintain accurate training records and assessment documentation
Contribute to continuous improvement of training materials and delivery methods
Promote a positive safety culture and professional learning environment
About You
You will be a motivated aviation professional who enjoys teaching and mentoring, with strong communication skills and a commitment to excellence in aviation education.
Essential Requirements:
CASA Flight Instructor Rating (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of CASA theory syllabus and flight operations
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to engage and motivate diverse student cohorts
High level of professionalism and organisational skills
Desirable:
Previous ground theory teaching experience
Experience with international students
Exposure to RTO / CRICOS environments
