The Ground Operations Instructor delivers technical and non-technical training to pilots within the Qantas Group and customer airlines. This includes both theoretical and practical instruction to ensure crew are prepared to perform their duties in line with company standard operating procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- Proven ability to adapt to modern training techniques and embrace new technologies that support adult learning
- Experience as a pilot to CPL standard or higher
- Exposure to or experience in multi-crew flight operations
- A degree qualification (preferably in aviation or education), or equivalent industry credentials
- Experience in adult education, ideally within an aviation context
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with the broader Flight Operations community
- Sensitivity and flexibility in working with diverse viewpoints, styles, and cultures, aligned with Qantas values
- High proficiency in developing training materials using applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Demonstrated capability to deliver training in various environments (e.g. classroom, procedural training devices)
- Ability to accurately assess both technical and non-technical trainee performance
- A commitment to continuous improvement of training courseware and processes
Supporting our A330, the Ground Operations Instructor role provides technical and non-technical training for pilots within the Qantas Group.
