About the Role
Airnorth is recruiting for a Darwin-based Licensed Avionics (B2) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our NT Engineering Team. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, conducting routine and non-routine maintenance, and performing repairs on various aircraft systems and components in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers are responsible for performing and certifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft as directed. Licensed AMEs are also required to supervise and certify aircraft work carried out by unlicensed AMEs and apprentices assigned to work under their supervision.
Darwin Airnorth Engineers are employed under an 11-hour shift over a 4 days on, 4 days off roster. Travel may be required on short notice, especially in AOG situations. Work will be conducted in hangars, on the ramp, or in other outdoor environments.
Essential & Desirable Requirements
- Current CASA licence (type rating not necessarily required)
- Strong understanding of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations applicable to Certificate of Approvals
- Demonstrated time management skills to work under pressure
- High levels of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail
- Ability to work and contribute proactively within a small team environment
- Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC and Airside Driver's Licence
- Human Factors training and current passport (essential)
- Legal right to live and work in Australia without restrictions
Multiple years of experience in aircraft maintenance is desirable, as is experience on Embraer aircraft and/or working at Darwin Airport.
