Become an Aviation Rescue Fire Fighter in Alice Springs

What You’ll Do
- Respond to aircraft incidents and airport emergencies
- Provide first aid and emergency assistance
- Maintain specialist firefighting vehicles and equipment
- Participate in ongoing operational and fitness training
- Support airport safety and emergency preparedness activities
- Work as part of a close-knit, high-performing team
No Experience Required
You don’t need previous firefighting experience to apply. Airservices provides comprehensive paid training, nationally recognised qualifications and ongoing development. The initial 11-week training is held at our world-class facility in Melbourne; you will be paid a salary for the duration and accommodation is provided.
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to successfully complete online testing, medical assessments and the minimum standards of the Physical Aptitude Test (PAT)
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency
- Completion of secondary education (minimum Year 10)
- A current unrestricted driver’s licence
- The ability to obtain a Heavy Rigid driver’s licence (before recruit training commences)
- The ability to obtain or hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 or HLTAID014) before recruit training commences
- Strong teamwork, communication and decision-making skills
