The Aerostar Group of companies are fixed and rotary wing aviation services organisations based at Adelaide and Parafield Airports in South Australia with operations throughout Australia. The helicopter company , Helistar Aviation, operates a fleet of Kawasaki BK117, Airbus AS355, Airbus AS350/EC130, Bell 206 & Robinson R44 rotary wing aircraft. Due to the expansion of these services we are seeking licensed aircraft engineers to assist in the maintenance of our helicopter fleet at Parafield Airport and interstate. The position is full time (38 hr week) with an attractive salary commensurate with the applicant's experience. Relocation assistance can be provided.
Job Responsibilities:
To work in a small but dedicated team of aircraft engineers at Parafield Airport
To ensure aircraft are airworthy in accordance with local aviation standards.
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, servicing, repairs, maintenance, removal, installations, modifications, EOs and STCs on applicable aircraft systems, components, role equipment or ground support equipment
Perform aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with all applicable regulatory authority requirements
Maintain high personal standards of workmanship so that the joint objectives of aircraft safety, reliability, minimum downtime, and controlled costs are always achieved.
Facilitate operational and maintenance advice and solutions
Coordinate between departments in order to provide support to deployed personnel
Provide technical support
Be willing to travel for field maintenance as required
Job Requirements:
Essential
Currently hold B1.3 CASA license and following endorsements and experience.
Aircraft - Small nonrated Airframe with Piston Engine, Small nonrated with turbine engine, AS355 Rated Airframe
Engines - Piston Engine applicable to the Robison Helicopter, Allison 250, Honeywell LTS 101
Experience on R44, Bell 206, AS350 & AS355
Desirable
Licensed and experienced on BK117, EC130 aircraft plus Arriel engines
Ability to work within a team environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Experience using Aerotrack maintenance software
Ability to obtain an ASIC Clearance
