The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position is a key finance operational role in ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and delivering statutory and management reporting and fulfilment of compliance for the WSI Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Management System, Annual Actuals Report and Supplementary Reporting Pack.
- Assist with the tax return submission and tax provision review, R&D, grants and other tax opportunities, including managing tax accounting (e.g. FBT and payroll tax).
- Contribute to the preparation of management, Corporate Plan and progress reports, including variance analysis to budget / forecast.
- Support the Finance Manager in developing and maintaining robust internal controls, governance, and financial policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Assist with continuous process improvements focusing on innovation, simplification, and automation to enhance process efficiency.
- Continuously review business processes and control configurations in the ERP to ensure compliance including bi-annual Workday testing and proactively identify and initiate process improvements.
- Provide financial analysis and handle ad hoc tasks as required.
- Partner with business stakeholders and provide support to decision-making.
