About the Role
As a Communications Advisor, you'll play a key supporting role within the Corporate Affairs team, helping to deliver engaging internal and external communications that connect Virgin Australia's people, customers and stakeholders, while supporting media management and administrative support across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of communications initiatives
- Support media management by coordinating enquiries and maintaining communication processes
- Provide administrative support across a range of projects
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure communications are timely, consistent and aligned with brand and values
Essential Requirements
- A degree in Communications, Journalism or a related discipline
- 2+ years' experience in public relations, media or a similar communications role
- Experience working with media and identifying and creating compelling, newsworthy stories
- Ability to confidently manage multiple projects at once while maintaining a high standard of work
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong eye for detail
- Solid understanding of traditional and digital communications channels, including social media
Desirable
- Experience in aviation or a related industry
- Experience in video production or visual design
