The Opportunity
Aviation Digital Services Officer | Helicopters | Bankstown NSW
We are seeking a highly organised and technically capable Aviation Digital Services Officer to join our Engineer team in Bankstown NSW. This role offers a unique blend of IT support, engineering administration, compliance coordination, and operational support within a dynamic aviation environment.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting engineering operations through the administration of digital systems, technical records, workforce compliance, and day-to-day operational activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing IT administration and support, including Microsoft Surface devices, user accounts, permissions, hardware, and software support.
- Administering engineering systems and user access, including maintenance management platforms such as Gannet.
- Maintaining training records, personnel authorisations, and compliance tracking.
- Supporting technical records management, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of engineering documentation.
- Assisting with roster coordination and travel arrangements for engineering personnel.
- Producing reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, and related business tools.
- Supporting audits, regulatory reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing administrative support to Engineering leadership.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in Aviation industry (desirable)
- Certificate II in Applied Digital Technologies
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working with database or maintenance management systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Power BI.
- Experience in IT administration, including device deployment, user account management, and technical support.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work independently.
