About the Role
Boeing Defence Australia is seeking four Aeroskills Apprentices to join the Super Hornet Maintenance Team at RAAF Base Amberley. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who have already completed the theory component of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (or will by end of 2026) and are looking to gain the practical workplace experience required to complete their qualification — working on the ADF's fleet of F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft.
What You'll Be Exposed To
- Flightline and operational maintenance activities
- Scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
- Line and base maintenance facilities and practices
- Aircraft inspections, servicing, and component removal, installation and testing
- Fault diagnosis and rectification
- Technical documentation and maintenance recording
- Airworthiness, safety, and quality management systems
- Defence aviation maintenance practices and team-based operations supporting aircraft availability and mission readiness, including potential ADF exercise deployments
Essential Requirements
- Successfully completed the theory component of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills with 75%+ on all modules (or will complete by end of 2026)
- Seeking to complete the workplace practical experience requirements of the qualification
- Australian Citizen
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance (Boeing will sponsor the process)
- Able to successfully complete the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) Assessment
- Meet Defence access requirements and pre-employment screening
- Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism
