About the Role
TCR has a brand-new, exciting opportunity available in our Perth Workshop: Automotive Mechanic LV/HV/Plant (GSE Mechanic)!
As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll use your technical expertise to carry out repairs, preventive maintenance and diagnostics on a wide range of specialised GSE equipment. You'll work closely with a skilled workshop team to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations that keep the airport moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilise your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment.
- Report daily to the Shift Supervisor, working ultimately under the management of the State Service Manager.
- Conduct preventive servicing, data collecting as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard.
- Promote a safety-first approach.
- Collaborate with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Utilise the wide variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment as an opportunity to bring a wide collection of knowledge and skills to the role.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification.
- Own tools.
- Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded.
- Current and valid Driver's Licence.
- A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies and procedures.
- Experience working within procedural guidelines.
- Good communication skills and proactiveness.
- A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player.
